Optical illusions

‘Optische illusies’ – 3D object and poster campaign for an exhibition on optical illusions
Techniques: wood, acrylic paint and photography.
A typographic approach: the two words that make up the title of the exhibition have been designed to an identical grid and built in wood. These two structures have been combined into an abstract 3D spatial object, permitting the words to be read from one single vantage point only. Casting light on the object from two angles displays the words ‘optische illusies’ (optical illusions) in shadows. Image and message are identical.
